How old do I have to be to get pierced?
Minors may receive piercings, however, we are particular which piercings we do and who we do them on. It is studio policy not to pierce anyone who does not ask to get pierced (including infants and toddlers, etc.) We can perform various ear piercings for people under the age of 15 but it is studio policy not to perform a body piercing on anyone under the age of 15. This is for the protection of the client and to prevent excess problems that can occur during the life of the piercing as their body grows and develops. Clients between the age of 15 and 17 are able to get facial and navel as well as ear piercings.
For minors between the ages of 5 and 10 interested in earlobe piercings we require a consultation, to talk over the procedure and aftercare, and homework that must be completed prior to the day of the piercing. At the time of procedure the guardian who is on the Parental Consent form must be present in the room at all times. This is studio policy and for the protection of your child.
